Thank you for using Plant Care (“we”, “our”, or “the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Plant Care app.

1. Information We Collect

• Plant Scan Data: When you scan a plant, the image is securely transmitted to Google Gemini for processing and analysis. This allows the app to identify the plant and provide information such as health, safety, care, origin, and more.
• Usage Data: We may collect limited, anonymous analytics data (for example, app usage metrics or crash reports) to improve app performance and reliability. This data cannot identify you personally.
• Subscription Data: All subscription and payment transactions are managed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not collect or store any payment details ourselves.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

iCloud Sync: Your plant collection, scan history, and notes are stored locally on your device and automatically synced with your private iCloud account. iCloud sync is enabled by default and can only be turned off via your iOS device settings.

All plant scan images sent to Google Gemini are processed securely for the purpose of generating insights and are not stored permanently by Plant Care.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To identify plants and provide care recommendations
• To improve app functionality, performance, and stability
• To process subscription features via Apple

4. Third-Party Services

Plant Care uses trusted third-party services to operate key features:

• Google Gemini: for plant image analysis and information generation

5. Data Security

We use Apple and Google’s secure frameworks to protect your data. While no digital storage method is entirely risk-free, we take all reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

6. Children’s Privacy

Plant Care is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Your Choices

• You can disable iCloud sync from your device settings at any time.
• You can cancel subscriptions from your Apple ID account settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Continued use of Plant Care after changes means you accept the updated policy.
