Privacy Policy

Introduction

GitPeek (the “App”) is developed by Penguin. The app allows users to view their GitHub profile details — including followers, following, repositories, and starred repositories — and organize them into custom ideas or projects. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.

Data We Collect

The App does not collect personal data directly. However, it accesses limited information from your GitHub account through Firebase Authentication using the GitHub provider. This may include your GitHub username, avatar, and public profile data necessary to display your repositories and related information within the app.

Authentication

The App uses Firebase Authentication to sign in with your GitHub account. Your GitHub credentials are never stored or shared by the App — authentication is securely handled by Firebase and GitHub’s own APIs.

Data Storage

Your data, including project groupings and organizational metadata, is stored securely using Apple’s CloudKit service. This ensures your information is synced across your devices via iCloud. CloudKit is automatically enabled for all users — you may disable iCloud access from your device’s system settings, but not directly within the App.

How We Use Information

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following services:

Data Security

We rely on Apple and Firebase’s security infrastructure to protect your data. The App itself does not transfer or sell any data to third parties.
